To see how a site is classified, test the URL on our online database facility. It enables you to see how sites are classified and submit your website to the database if it’s unknown. How it works
The URL content filter is available as an optional plug-in to our MIMEsweeper for Web solution enabling you to block web access to any of the website categories above or those you decide to add to your blacklist within your security policy. When a web page is requested, MIMEsweeper identifies the user and their web access privileges. The requested URL is then checked against the blacklists for that user. If the site is blacklisted, the web page transfer is blocked. And, if you prefer, the user is notified and an administrator alerted. All activity, whether blocked or allowed, is also recorded for in-depth reporting to analyze web usage and traffic patterns. This data is also available for user reporting, providing your HR department all the information they need in case of misuse.
