A Service-Oriented Architecture
MIMEsweeper for SMTP represents a new generation of content security. Instead of a monolithic architecture, with all functions ‘welded’ together in a single box, this version is built on a service-oriented architecture that separates all key functions for maximum flexibility, configurability and scalability.
The Mail Engine, Policy Server, Web Server, Database Server and Audit Server can all exist on a single machine or in a distributed configuration for scalability and performance.
Can scale up to an 8-machine configuration for up to 100,000 users. MIMEsweeper SMTP 5.2 also scales down to 50 users and one machine.
